D+R in Our Community

At D+R, everything we do is centered around a vision of a sustainable future. That vision extends beyond our corporate walls and into our community. We are proud to be active members of the community and believe it’s our duty to give back to the many diverse charities and volunteer projects in our area—all while keeping our carbon footprint in check.

In our 30+ years in business, D+R has provided financial and hands-on support to many local volunteer projects, including conducting an energy efficiency retrofit of the Maryland Ronald McDonald House, holding food drives and packing bags of food for DC Central Kitchen, helping Martha’s Table prepare food for distribution, providing holiday gifts for families served by Linkages to Learning, staffing dinner service at Shepherd’s Table, and donating furniture to A Wider Circle.

In the past year, we have supported the following organizations:

Casa Ruby – Provides bilingual and multicultural lifesaving services and programs to the most vulnerable in the LGBT community
