David Steiner, President
David Steiner serves as D&R's president and primary business development officer, charged with seeking new opportunities that align with D&R's vision and mission. He also serves as an advisor and program manager to many of D&R's contracts and projects. Previously, he served as program manager to the
ENERGY STAR® program for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), providing leadership for the team's efforts to promote and qualify DOE's list of products. He has overseen outreach to manufacturing and retail ENERGY STAR partners, as well as the development of regional and nationwide promotional campaigns. Before joining D&R, Mr. Steiner served as vice president of government affairs at Maytag Corp., where he had primary responsibility for federal, state, and international government relations. He was also a leading advocate for the company's energy- and water-efficiency efforts in product development and marketing campaigns.
Susanne Rivera, Programs and Communications
Susanne Rivera oversees day-to-day marketing, promotional events, public relations, media relations, and communications for D&R clients. Ms. Rivera has provided leadership on ENERGY STAR's annual lighting campaign,
OPERATION CHANGE OUT-The Military Challenge
, ENERGY STAR appliance campaigns, and energy efficiency makeovers of local Ronald McDonald houses. She guides the development of training materials and multicultural outreach, and initiates and manages special events. She also provides guidance on communications and media relations for the Weatherization Assistance Program.
Glen Salas, Technical Analysis and Market Research
Glen Salas, PE, CBPC, leads D&R's Analysis and Building Science teams. He is program manager for D&R's resource conservation work for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and D&R's commercial energy savings projects. Mr. Salas also manages D&R's technical support to DOE's Weatherization Assistance Program and the ENERGY STAR CFL Third Party Testing and Verification Program, and provides technical direction to DOE's Solid State Lighting program. Before joining D&R, he designed and started up renewable energy production projects; worked in offshore oil fields; and tested, operated, and maintained nuclear power plants.
Tyler Garrison, Information Technology
Tyler Garrison oversees D&R's IT operations, Web services, and business development. He oversees allocation of technical staff; creates and tracks budgets; and matches project priorities to available resources for all Website, database, and custom IT solutions. Mr. Garrison also manages IT infrastructure planning, design, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and disaster recovery.
Jim Schiavone, Finance
Jim Schiavone, CPA, oversees D&R's financial reporting and accounting, including internal control policies and procedures, budgeting, risk and insurance analysis, internal financial statements, and corporate income tax returns. Mr. Schiavone handles the company's banking relationships, oversees tax compliance issues on all retirement and employee benefit plans, maintains timekeeping and accounting software, and trains staff in accounting procedures. Before joining D&R in 2000, he served in public accounting firms for over 22 years.
Peggy Rivera, Contracts
Peggy Rivera manages D&R's portfolio of contracts. Ms. Rivera ensures compliance with all contract requirements, develops and maintains financial management control systems, and works with D&R's project managers to create and manage budgets. Ms. Rivera also serves as the systems administrator for D&R's accounting system, maintains the company's federal and state GSA and Central Contractor Registration listings, and oversees reporting on the company's status and contracting activities.
